I'd be remiss if I didn't post this picture.  Most nights, I enjoy this view of the sun setting behind the mountains when I stand on my front porch.  One of the many pleasures of living in Lovettsville, Virginia.

The Red-Roof Barn off Hillsboro Road

This red barn inspired me to start this blog.  I pass it every day on the way home from work.  Around 4:00 p.m., when the sun is still in the sky but starting to set, the light reflects off the roof, creating a brilliant crimson which brightens the soul.  Located off Hillsboro Road, I highly recommend visiting it in the late afternoon.
